A New Haircut and Only FOUR Days Left For...

Hi there!

So I have mentioned before that I was planning on cutting my hair ,but I never updated on that. However, this previous Friday, I went and got my hair cut shoulder length. I think it looks really good, and my friends say they like it too (hopefully they're not humoring me). I would love to put up a picture, but all the pictures of me in short hair consist of me in my school uniform/pajamas, but we had our individual school photos taken in school today, so when I get them, I'll post them up here.

Regarding school, all of the Arabic teachers decided to start this trivial questions competition, about Literature and General Knowledge and some information about our school (in Arabic, of course). Each section of grade 9 would enter, and then the section that would win would go on to the next round, tomorrow, and compete against the winners of Grade 7 and 8. Thankfully, the two nominated classmates that represented our class won (!), so tomorrow they're competing in the bonus round. One of them is the guy who sits in front of me, and continuously asks me to mention him in my blog, so here it goes! Congratulations Nofan Hmoud and Yasmeen Haj for winning today! You have made our whole class proud.

Concerning the goal of these two weeks, which is improving my writing, I realized recently that I have four days let to work on it, so here is the progress I have made. I improved my English cursive handwriting, as well as my Arabic handwriting. I am reading more (Arabic and English), because it is a great way to enhance my language skills and expand my vocabulary. I also wrote a letter for English (but that was obligatory) and the post about dislike vs hate. At the end of these two weeks, which will be a Saturday (coincidentally my friend's birthday as well, maybe I'll write about that, but you may have gotten sick of those birthday posts!) I will show pictures of my handwriting in English (print and cursive) and Arabic, while writing a very proper post about a certain subject that interests me.

Over with the important things I needed to tell you, now I'll move on to other aspects of my life. I have been going to SheFighter more often, and all my muscles are sore from yesterday's workout, today I had to stop writing notes in Business class because my arm was aching! However it was worth it because I'm starting to develop bulging muscles in the biceps and triceps area, and my calves and thighs are becoming more firm, which better be an indication to the fact that I am getting a 6-pack very soon!

I am also working on a painting for Art class, which I will show you when I finish it. It is my replication of Maurice de Vlaminck's Tugboat on the Seine. I will also show you guys my previous art work in the following two weeks, that come after Feb. 22nd, because my next goal will be improving my artistic skills. Thanks to my grandfather, I have a book that will improve my painting and drawing techniques, and I am looking forward to that.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone who reads my blog and comments on my posts, either here or on Facebook, and especially those who share it and like it every time, which mainly include my mom, grandfather, and my aunts. Thank you guys!

See you all soon...

-Yara :)

P.S.: Lana, this sentence is dedicated to you. Love you!
